In December 2023, their superior had insisted they be placed in a Catholic care home for health reasons and accused them of breaching their vows of obedience, accusations that the sisters have repeatedly rejected. We have claimed this right. Doctors have already told me that I am not demented at all and so on, and the others have not either. Sisters Rita, Regina and Bernadette returned with the help of a locksmith and local supporters, some of whom helped with supplies including food. Officials have said they would provide medical care for the trio. Church authorities, meanwhile, have told the nuns they can remain at the convent only if they stop posting on social media. They have also requested the nuns to dismiss lawyers and legal experts who were working for them. While they insist they are willing to reach an agreement, the sisters have refused to sign the current proposition.
