Princess Anne is set to visit Australia next month for an official four-day royal tour with her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence. The 75-year-old will travel along the east coast during the November visit.

Princess Anne is scheduled to visit Australia to commemorate the centenary of the Royal Australian Corps of Signals. She will be accompanied by her husband, Admiral Sir Tim Lawrence, and will visit New South Wales, Victoria, and Queensland over a four-day period. The Princess Royal, who has held the title of Colonel and Chief of the Corps since 1977, has visited Australia more than 20 times in her official capacity. The specific barracks she will tour have not yet been confirmed. The visit comes as Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has also extended a formal invitation to the future King and Queen.

A royal arrival that has many excited, Princess Anne will touch down Down Under in a matter of weeks. On November 8th, the Princess Royal will be joined by her husband, Admiral Sir Tim Lawrence, to mark 100 years since the formation of the Royal Australian Corps of Signals. It was first established, radio was new and they were using Morse code and they were still using flags because flags were the way to signal. For the past 100 years, the RACs have been responsible for essential communications on the battlefield. 107,000 personnel have served in the Corps since World War One. The Senior Royal will visit New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland across a four-day period. Princess Anne turned 75 this year and yet she is still topping the polls as the hardest working royal. 474 engagements at the last count for 2024. The Princess Royal has visited Australia more than 20 times, serving in her role as Colonel and Chief of the Royal Australian Corps of Signals.
