Trying to encourage everyone to come down to Bondi and get around the family, businesses that are still here and still going strong. Pulling the veterans card, star signing Daly Cherry Evans sat out most of the beach session but has been sweating in new colours. He's been awesome. Just his professionalism, his leadership, being able to bring that not just to the team but to the young halves as well. He's really just added a lot of value and he just works hard. Sounds eerily similar to a signing in 2018, dubbed the Cooper Cronk effect. Many believe DCE can have the same impact and take the tricolours back to the top. Of course, I think everyone's sort of going to compare to that but it's a new team, it's a new environment, it's a new time of year. So there's a lot of things to go into that but as I said he brings a lot of similarities. The bones of their season were built on the Kokoda track before Christmas. A select few players tackling the trek to galvanise. Just doing it together, completing something where you feel tired, your body doesn't feel great but you just take one foot in front of the other and you can sort of use that metaphor for our season.
