A devastating time, especially right before the holidays for these families. We're now told that the American Red Cross has registered 12 households, including 34 adults and 15 children. Now they say this includes short term lodging and financial support. The first thing you notice, these aren't just debris. These are personal belongings. You can see the damage stretching across multiple floors. Windows shattered where the fire burned through. FG&Y says the call came in just before 9 on the 4th floor and reported this as a second alarm fire. The flames are clearly visible, burning bright against the night sky. If you look closely, you'll see firefighters making their way into windows to reach the fire. A resident living across the fire showed us what was left behind, saying at one point he didn't know who to leave his children with. Now they live in my brother apartment, but they now they say they they gotta move to right now where I take my kids, you know. Abdul's brother also lives in this building and has been displaced.
