They say you deliver a vulnerability and versatility So when you hear that on your debut album, I know that feels good But do you go this is exactly what I've dreamed of. Did you feel that in that moment? I mean it got rave reviews Thank you it is exactly what I dreamed of for people to recognize and To big up the project to see the hard work and the effort and the vulnerability that it takes to make something Different in this day and age when there's so much So yeah, it is a dream come true and it's definitely the hardest thing I've done is it yet? Yes, and a debut album is hard. It's just so much pressure pressure But then you said not only do you have the debut album? You said I'm gonna kick it up a notch and I'm gonna get a superstar Tell me how it came about the collaboration with you and Alicia Keys because you were already killing it How did it come about did you two know each other working with Alicia is a dream come true? She you know, she's just so much soul and just has always been such an original. Um, I think our teams connected I don't know how all the pieces came together But I remember she texted me and we went to dinner and there was no plans of like working or you know It wasn't one of those Networking dinner. We just talked for hours until the restaurant closed and then I was like I do have a song I Worked out very seamlessly, that's beautiful You have been in the spotlight for quite some time whether it's on camera Microphone in your hand But that doesn't mean that you know exactly what your voice is or what you want it to be You said this album was about trusting your voice trusting yourself fall in love with what you wanted to give What was that process like I think it's hard because you know, there's a lot of things that trend There's a lot of effect different viral moments and there's if there's this urge to do what people already like, you know Just because it's safer and you don't want to you know, waste the opportunity You only get one debut album, but I think what reminds me of who I am is actually when I recorded ICU There was no plans. No intentionality. No strategic. No viral. It was just this just feels right to me Yeah, and that I resonate and it resonated and I didn't know it would though We can help you remind you of who you are by showing you a picture from 2010 of your self-titled CD that came out that year and I'm curious when you look at it if we get it up. She would honestly say what took you so long I don't know But no, I think me as a child I was so confident that I try to like reach back to that version of myself I didn't I didn't have any weight of the world. I didn't have any limitations I just knew this was for me. And so I try to channel that as much as I can You know, what else is for you Donovan Mitchell? Can we?
