The police are still firing from various jurisdictions of Tanzania. The police are still hunting down people, clamping down everyone they see in the street effectively because they just feel like this is the only way to contain protesters. The government says the opposition are exaggerating the numbers of those killed and injured and that it's using proportionate force to deal with a crisis of vandalism. This video shows about 30 bodies in what appears to be a medical facility. The opposition and activists say police have started removing bodies in trucks to unknown locations. The government denies it. President Samir was announced the winner of the election with nearly 98% of the votes and a record turnout reported, even though protesters set some polling stations on fire and few voters were visible at others. I have ordered the national security and regional security agencies to make sure that from this minute onwards, normalcy returns in the country. Here a woman shouts, Mama Samir, you are killing people. The activists say the election should be cancelled and a cross-party transitional government should oversee electoral reforms.
