Ahead of the Under-17 World Cup final between Austria and Portugal, I spoke with FIFA's Chief of Global Football Development, Arsene Wenger, about the tournament and what stood out to him. Thank you for speaking with us. Thank you, it's a pleasure. With Portugal and Austria reaching the final of this year's Under-17 World Cup, what are your overall impressions of the tournament and its impact on the future of football? Well I would say overall this tournament was really successful. It was a joy to watch and personally I felt in paradise to have the whole world together in such a short compartment and being capable to watch football all over the world was fantastic. Were you surprised by Austria reaching the final and what do you think contributed to their success? I would say first of all the quality of their players and secondly they looked like a real team who knows what to do to deal with every situation in a very intelligent way. I did see them patient, intelligent, not making stupid fouls, using the moments of weakness of their opponent in a very efficient way and they looked like a real team capable to deal with all kinds of difficulties that you can face during a game. What stands out to you about Johannes Moser's performance at the top goalscorer of the tournament? What potential do you see in him? I think he's a killer. He's a guy who puts his energy first of all to help the team. He works on the flanks and so that demands physically a very top potential and on top of that he's somebody who's not scared to warn the ball and when he has an opportunity he goes to the end of it. He plays with belief, with belief and with the desire to be efficient and so he looks to be a very generous type and that's why I believe he has a bright future. He's a top goalscorer of the tournament. I think he's eight goals so that is a remarkable achievement. So with the pitches close to each other at Aspire Zone, what do you think of the vibes over there? I love it. I love it because for me it looks like a football festival, you know, where everybody's here, happy to be here. Every country thanked us for being here and for having the chance to watch their team as well as to watch other teams. It was as well a moment of exchange of world football. Thank you very much.
