To avoid escalating the situation, Feltwell gave her the ball.

Despite the incident, Lincoln received a bat and ball from the Marlins, including a signed bat from Harrison Bader, the player who hit the home run. Drew Feltwell emphasized the importance of setting a positive example for his son and declined to participate in public criticism of the woman. The woman has not been identified, though a company has offered her $5,000 to return the ball if she writes an apology on it.
