A gut-wrenching docudrama about a Palestinian girl in the Gaza, using real audio from the girl's final call for help. The film drew tears from many, receiving a 22-minute standing ovation at its premiere. The Best Screenplay prize went to French film At Work, while a special jury prize was awarded to Italian filmmaker Gianfranco Rossi. The ceremony also honoured the late fashion icon Giorgio Armani, a long-time festival sponsor who passed away just days before the awards.
