Tens of thousands of protesters gathered at rallies across the United States on Labor Day to call for stronger worker protections and to criticise a range of policies from the Trump administration. He's also ordered the National Guard to prepare for further deployments to help police what he's described as civil unrest. No federal troops in the city of Chicago. No militarized force in the city of Chicago. We're going to defend our democracy in the city of Chicago. We're going to protect the humanity of every single person in the city of Chicago. Hundreds of similar events took place across the country in smaller cities like Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and bigger ones like Los Angeles. Chicago is under attack. Unions often taking the lead. In Chicago, we reject a billionaire's tyranny on our city. We reject a billionaire and his cabinet of billionaires who take from Medicaid, who defund public education.
