Weather forecasts from both the Euro and American models indicate that the Northeastern United States could experience heavy snowfall later this week. The Euro model suggests snow could affect high elevations and areas along the I-95 corridor, including Boston, beginning Thursday and continuing into Friday morning.

The American model predicts heavier snow farther west, particularly along the Appalachians and west of Bangor, with the storm's center moving east. The extent and location of snowfall will depend on the exact track of the weather system.

Let's examine a couple of things. First, we're going to set the stage by giving you the prognostication according to the euro model, and it shows that we could see some heavy snow and high elevation, but maybe along the 95 corridor or two, including Boston. Now that is one bit of a model. Here's another one kind of bullish, but farther to the West. I mean along the Appalachians and Point West, but notice North and actually South of Bangor and do West of Bangor might get a little bit more. All of it depends on where the track of this system goes now, so we examine a couple of these prognostications. This is your euro model and shows the heavy snowfall in your Thursday and then into Thursday afternoon into the evening and then we tumble into your Friday morning. That shows the potential of snow up and down the 95 corridor. That is your euro model. The American model. If we've got time, I'm going to zip through this one pretty fast too and it starts off again showing the heavy snow at the West. There goes that center of circulation East that point, and that is the potential. What may be a snowy episode and your Friday for much of the Northeast.
