Nick Kyrgios has withdrawn from the US Open, citing ongoing injury issues following several surgeries over the past year and a half. Despite recently appearing in a social media video with Gordon Ramsay, Kyrgios will not be competing in either singles or mixed doubles at the tournament. 

Elsewhere, Bernard Tomic's attempt to enter the main draw ended in the second round of qualifying. Alex de Minaur, seeded eighth, will face fellow Australian Chris O'Connell when the tournament begins.
