Park City's Live PC Give PC Day, the state's largest giving event, comes at a time when local nonprofits are experiencing heightened demand for their services. Organizations report longer food pantry lines and record applications for basic needs assistance, largely due to reduced government benefits and increased living costs.

Despite financial challenges in the community, nonprofits have continued to receive strong donor support. Leaders emphasize the importance of community empathy and mutual support, with all donations from the event going directly to over 140 participating organizations.

It's live P. C. Give P. C. Day here in Park City, the state's biggest giving day. But this year feels a little different, considering most of these nonprofits have an increase in need and are relying on donations now more than ever. It's that time of year again in Park City, it's live P. C. Give P. C. An annual fundraiser that gives the community a chance to meet a bunch of nonprofits and make donations. I love being here. But this year it feels different with the lack of snap benefits or the cost of living. People are needing to make choices between food and gasoline hosted by the Park City Community Foundation. Residents can choose from over 140 nonprofits to make donations. All of the money goes to that nonprofit. And it seemed no matter which organization I spoke to, they all had one thing in common. We definitely have seen an increase in patients coming to the People's Health Clinic line for our food pantry is longer and longer each day. We received a record number of applications for basic needs assistance, but they can't solve the growing need on their own. Each organization told me they rely on the community's help to keep going. We want to be able to use these funds to be able to operate on a daily basis and to be able to have the staff in times like this where everyone is under so much pressure and our community is such great need. A day like this means the world. Those donations are one of our main revenue streams. It's the way that we help people. But despite money being tight this year, Brian says they've been lucky to still receive a significant number of donors knowing what's going on in the community with the government shutdown and all the things surrounding that. And so we have gotten a lot of great donations coming in no matter the organization. Zero says the community needs to lean on each other now more than ever. This action of empathy of giving to your neighbors of giving to your community brings people together and it's really you can feel it here. Now those donations will close at midnight.
