Her strong barrel riding throughout the season and composure under pressure secured her the title, marking a new era for Australian women's surfing. In the men's competition, Western Australia's Jack Robinson was eliminated early, with Brazilian Italo Ferreira and Californian Griffin Colapinto contesting the final, which was ultimately won by the Brazilian top seed.
