Averley Homes, one of the companies behind this initiative, states that their three-bedroom, two-bathroom models start at just over $200,000, compared to upwards of $500,000 for conventional builds. How much do one of these homes cost? A home that we're sitting in right now, three bedroom, two bathroom, you're talking upwards of $500,000 in the traditional methods. At Averley Homes we're kicking that off at just over $200,000. It's this type of housing product that can be a real game changer for the industry. There's so many homes needed, first home buyers, the young kids can't buy any homes. I think something like this really helps give people in my generation, my age bracket, a lot of hope. Who are these homes a solution for? You know, our market's quite broad, but we've had a large amount of interest from the rural community, people who are that bit further out of the city. It's a very exciting space, and it's a space which Burkina keeps seeing getting bigger and bigger. The sizes of the rooms, the height, everything about it has actually played to a longer term living home situation. This, it feels like a home. Yeah, absolutely. It's not just a house, it's not just four walls, it's a home. That's what pretty much the initial brief was, taking use of every square metre, natural light, placement of the living areas, bedrooms and things like that, making sure that everything actually flowed for a young family, for a working family, for an older family that wanted to downsize.
