Sixty years ago, the Beatles came to The Land of 10,000 Lakes to perform at the Metropolitan Stadium, which was demolished in the 80s, and the site became home to the Mall of America in the 90s.

A Minnesota man, Bob Pratt, has recounted his experience meeting the Beatles before their 1965 concert at Metropolitan Stadium, which was attended by a crowd so loud that it often drowned out the music. The stadium, later demolished and replaced by the Mall of America, was the site of a recent celebration marking the anniversary of the concert, featuring a Beatles tribute band. 

Pratt, who attended the original event with his father, a photographer, was invited to the Twins clubhouse where he met all four Beatles and shared a brief conversation with John Lennon about Minnesota baseball players. The celebration highlighted the lasting impact of the Beatles' visit, with attendees reflecting on the historic significance of the concert.

I like to give George this beautiful guitar He got it was like a little kid in a candy store.
