It's the record of the year, song of the year, and album of the year, as well as more genre categories like rap. And so he has the biggest success story out of anyone. Lady Gaga, Bad Bunny, Sabrina Carpenter, and Leon Thomas also getting several noms. And one specific genre made waves, K-pop. This summer, the K-pop demon hunters movie was massive. So was the music. The song Golden is up for a few Grammys, including song of the year. Singer Rosé is nominated for this hit with Bruno Mars. And under best new artist, a K-pop inspired girl group, Cat's Eye, made the cut. I believe that it is time to be recognized as a Korean culture is now. Canadians are in the spotlight, too. Justin Bieber's comeback with Swag nabbed him four nominations, including for album of the year. Party Next Door and Drake are up for best melodic rap performance. And pop star Tate McRae is nominated for the first time. And so is Laila Biali for best traditional pop vocal album. My husband and co-producer Ben and I were trying to decipher if it was actually true. Were we getting punked or something? And so we're beyond thrilled. But one big artist was shut out. The weekend is nowhere to be found. For years, The Weeknd didn't put his music forward or attend the show, accusing the Grammys of corruption. That beef was put to bed when he performed earlier this year. So it's definitely going to reopen old wounds. When it comes to who will walk away with the wins, we will find out on February 1st.
