The city had previously charged Alex Trevinsky, one of the three victims of the incident, with misdemeanor disorderly conduct and had sought to keep the records sealed, citing Marcy's Law to protect victim privacy.

Following a counter motion and negotiations, the city solicitor's office withdrew its request to seal the documents, leading to the judge's quick decision. Trevinsky's attorney stated that his client had not requested the records be sealed and is seeking additional evidence from the city. The next court date for Trevinsky is scheduled, with his legal team pushing for more transparency in the case.

It was a quick ruling. The Hamilton County Municipal Court judge reached it less than a minute after he heard this city does not object to placing the records following a counter motion and some negotiation. The city solicitor's office said it decided to withdraw its request to seal court documents tied to the case against 45 year old Alex Trevinsky. He's one of three victims listed in July's downtown brawl and the only one also facing a criminal charge. I'm here to fight for Alex and we're going to continue with this until he's found not guilty of these bogus charges. Despite the judge's ruling, hours went by and the records still weren't online. I didn't want to wait any longer. So I went to the clerk's office to get them. The initial citation alleges he persisted in the disorderly conduct after reasonable warning or request to desist. The fight happened on july 26 video of the brawl went viral. The city solicitor's office charged Trevinsky with misdemeanor disorderly conduct on august 20th for three weeks. We tried to access Trevinsky's records related to the case but we couldn't because each time the city cited Marcy's law which is meant to protect victims privacy and refuse to release them. Another document we obtained monday shows C. P. D. And the clerk of courts agreed to delay Trevinsky's case from public viewing. Alex never asked that these records be sealed at all. This was only the city's doing. Trevinsky's next court date is set for september 16th. His attorney says he's pushing the city to release more evidence. Thus far in this case we've not been provided with any discovery in this case, no reports, no videos, nothing from the city. Do you think that ties in with them wanting to keep things sealed?
