In the early hours a sign says everything, expect it all. All eyes are on Ka Ying Rising but there's some rising stars keen for the scout. It's just a great contest, it's no different to an Olympic sprint final. Everyone has to be on the game. Yeah let's hope Australia or our horses can beat Ka Ying Rising because he's a superstar. Look I've ridden some good horses against him and he's made them look pretty second rate to be fair but this is all different kettle of fish. The Chris Waller and James McDonald connection with Jolly Star poses the biggest threat. Stable rider Chris Harwood can't see his mare being beat. She's cherry right and they're gonna have to be very good to beat her. Whatever beats her will be us to be at our best. Waller can see the glint in Jolly Star's eye, so much so pulling her back at track work. If you bring her out on the course brother she's ready to charge like she'll rip up the straight and break track records if you wanted her to. She just feels incredible, she looks incredible and she's ready to run the race of her life. The Waller Stable has three jumping in a 12-horse race with 25% of the field and gunning for a third win in the richest race on turf. I still get nervous. Tyler Schiller is on board the Hawks racing trained Briasa. Having lost to Jolly Star just a month ago he knows the stable rival is hot to trot. She's definitely got that electric turn of foot and the pace is probably gonna suit her a lot but I'd love to say my fellow would be hard to get past. Trent Simpson, 10 News.
