There are several big events in the city of Cleveland this weekend. The Feast of the Assumption runs through Sunday. Country star Morgan Wallen arrives at Huntington Bank Field tonight and tomorrow for his ‘I’m the Problem’ tour. The excitement wraps up Sunday with the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Half Marathon.

Cleveland is gearing up for a weekend filled with events such as concerts, the Feast of the Assumption festival, and the News 5K and 10K races. The Feast of the Assumption, a longstanding tradition in Little Italy, will result in the closure of Mayfield Road between Circle Drive and Fairview Road during festival hours, with parking expected to be limited in Little Italy and University Circle.

City officials recommend using public transportation to reduce congestion. On the final day of the festival, both the 5K and 10K races will lead to additional road closures, particularly around the Great Lakes Science Center, Brown Stadium, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Attendees are encouraged to plan ahead, monitor parking restrictions, and follow local law enforcement guidance as routes may change.

It's about 15 minutes until 6 o'clock and we've been telling you all morning long it will be a busy weekend in Cleveland filled with concerts, guardian games and the feast of the assumption. It's another weekend of fun here in Cleveland and along with the food, the music and the laughter associated with the events and festivities that happen around the land. Come some road closures. Here are some events that may be along your route this weekend. An annual little Italy tradition is already underway. The feast of the assumption is a 40 festival where Catholics commemorate Mary's body being taken into heaven and the festival is centered around Holy Rosary Hill Church on Mayfield Road in Cleveland's Little Italy neighborhood. The city will be closing off Mayfield Road between Circle Drive and Fairview Road during festival hours and with hundreds expected to attend parking in Little Italy and University Circle will be tight. If you're coming down, make sure you prepare, you know, give yourself ample time. If you're trying to get there at certain times, uh, make sure that you monitor, you know, parking restrictions. There's gonna be signages that's gonna be placed up there. City officials recommend riding Rta to the event to cut down on congestion. The final day of the feast is sunday and hundreds will be lacing up their sneakers and warming up their muscles for an early morning run. Yeah, the 10 K kicks off at 7 30 a.m. And the route takes runners from the Great Lakes Science Center past the Brown Stadium and up South Marginal Road to East 55th Street. The final legs of the route, turn them around North Marginal Road and back to the Great Lakes Science Center for the finish. And the five k route is a bit shorter. Runners will start the race at the Rock Hall and past the Science Center and Brown Stadium, but we'll make a left turn at the inner belt to return to the Rock Hall steps. So in other words, North and South Marginal Roads along with the area in front of the Rock Hall will be closed for quite some time sunday morning. So be prepared to take a detour. And as always, your eyes should be on the road, not your phone and listen to local law enforcement as routes may change throughout these events for News five. I'm Caitlin Hunt.
