Houthis confirm leaders killed by Israeli strike

Israel's war continues to spread, its military striking deep inside the heart of Yemen. The target? Houthi leadership, with a terror group confirming that Prime Minister Ahmed al-Rouhawi had been killed in the hit on Sananhar. Several other ministers were also killed in the attack, the second in just over a week after this strike that killed 10 people last Sunday. The Prime Minister was largely seen as a figurehead, not part of the Houthis' inner circle, but symbolic of the militia that had been firing on Israel and international shipping in the Red Sea. But even as Israel expands its reach abroad, it's facing growing anger at home, with grieving families demanding the safe return of their loved ones and an end to the war. Both Israelis want this war to end. Even Bibi's voters want this war to end and for all hostages to come home. For the family of hostage Edan Shivi, taken during the Nova music festival, it's too little, too late. Shivi is now confirmed as the second slain hostage recovered by Israeli forces this week. His death leaves 48 hostages still in Gaza, just 20 of them believed to be alive. For Palestinians, Israel's expanding offensive brings only more displacement, traffic jams clogging the roads as thousands flee Gaza City. We left because the area became unlivable, this man says. The humanitarian crisis only worsening, with Israel warning it will soon cut aid to parts of northern Gaza as its assault on Hamas intensifies.
