Featuring nearly 80 films from 28 countries, the festival honors women and their stories. And Hind's voice is one that echoes across the Strip and beyond. Hind Rajab was one story. If you go to every house, every person has a story for the cinema. Every tent has a struggle. A whole story and film could be written for each of them. The documentary details how Israeli forces attacked Hind and her family when they tried to flee Gaza City in January last year. Not too far from here is where soldiers fired more than 330 bullets into their car. Their bodies were found alongside those of the paramedics who tried to rescue them. Today is a message to the whole world saying Hind Rajab represents a Palestinian symbol in the midst of the genocidal war that Gaza is subjected to.
