A suspected drone strike hit an aid boat that had previously carried climate activist Greta Thunberg, as it was moored with a flotilla of 20 civilian vessels in international waters off Tunisia. Two Australians were among the six people on board at the time of the incident, which resulted in minor burns but no serious injuries. 

Tunisian authorities stated they detected no drones in the area, despite claims from those on board that a drone dropped a bomb on the vessel's forward deck. The incident follows a similar attack on the same boat off Malta several months prior. Greta Thunberg was not on board during the latest incident.

Thirteen days away from Gaza, the brazen nature of this drone strike to hit a civilian vessel in Tunisian waters would be regarded as an act of war. Tunisia's National Guard has stated it detected no drones in the area. One hundred percent, it was a drone dropping a bomb on the forward deck of our ship. Emergency crews were quick to extinguish the flames. There were no serious injuries, but some did suffer minor burns. The star activist was not on board. It is the vessel that has been carrying Greta Thunberg for the last seven nights. It comes just five months after a drone attack on her boat off Malta. Yusuf has left his two-month-old and two-year-old boys in Australia. My wife said to me, if you lose your life on this mission, your sons will never know you. But he's now more committed. If anything happened to me, I'd want my sons to know that, like, we tried, we did everything we could amidst this genocide. Ali Donaldson, 10 News.
