More than two dozen drones did, however, strike their targets, with Kharkiv, Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia bearing the brunt of the damage. Local officials in the southern region of Zaporizhia say the attacks mainly targeted civilian residences and energy infrastructure, causing widespread damage. More than 385,000 homes lost access to power, gas or water as a result of the strikes, prompting emergency work to restore service to those affected. Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky says Russia has significantly intensified its offensive and in a post on X, stressing that Kyiv recorded over 1,100 drone attacks this week alone. Meanwhile, Russia says a young woman succumbed to her wounds following Kyiv's strikes on Voronezh on Saturday. Local officials of the western Russian city say debris from a drone fell on her house in the attacks, which Kyiv have yet to confirm.
