Coach Justin Holbrook is currently evaluating his options for the team's spine, with new arrivals Sandon Smith and Dylan Brown joining the squad.

Sharp, described as an electrifying and versatile player, is expected to be fit for the opening round. He will commence contact training in several weeks as preparations for the new season continue.

He'll be fit to go in round one, but Justin Holbrook's still weighing up his spine with Sandon Smith and Dylan Brown now at the club. There's no doubt they're all going to fit in, you know, Fletcher Sharp's electrifying. Just looking at the vision of him playing last year, just such a well-balanced runner that can play anywhere. Wherever I can get my hands on the ball as much and make the biggest impact for the team, wherever that is in the backs, wherever, I'll be happy. Sharp will begin contact training in several weeks.
