The first notable snowfall of the season is forecast to impact the northern tier, Great Lakes, and Northeast regions of the United States. Accumulations are expected to be light, with grassy areas seeing up to an inch of snow, while roads are likely to remain mostly wet due to warmer pavement temperatures. 

The transition from rain to snow will occur overnight in cities such as Chicago, Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, and Detroit, as an Arctic cold front moves through. The snow is expected to progress eastward through Tuesday morning, with the Eastern Great Lakes and Appalachia seeing the main impacts on Monday and Tuesday. Motorists are advised to watch for potential flash freezing, especially on bridges and overpasses.

So get ready and we'll show you more of the East here right now, and this is through Tuesday morning. So really Monday, Tuesday is the Eastern Lakes time down through Appalachia. That's when we'll see it. So a quick look at this and what I've had Jillian do is actually put the 32 degree line on there so you can watch the cold air coming in at the same time. Alright, so here's Sunday 8 PM. Alright, not much yet, but overnight. Look what happens by Monday morning. And there's wet roads and there's snow coming down, so it's not going to be immediate, but you know, bridges and overpasses will go first. Watch out for the flash freeze there again. Mostly wet in Boston and New England, but even you'll be chilling off as we go during the day on Monday.
