The previous record achieved in 2019 in Lyon, France, by the Equal Playing Field Initiative included 53 nationalities. FIFA's new milestone surpasses that figure, showing the incredible unifying power of the game. You could see everyone's joy, the excitement, the atmosphere. It's truly extraordinary. This shows there's this cultural and social mixing and there's equality with men and women playing together, which is really exceptional. Football is mixed. It's for men. It's for women. This proves that men and women can play football together. And I think that is exactly FIFA's vision. Qualified referees, official witnesses and video evidence were used to confirm compliance with the rules. The match was both competitive and symbolic, celebrating diversity, teamwork and friendship. Each player that participated today had to be on the pitch and contribute for at least 10 minutes. So that meant if I wasn't satisfied, if someone wasn't participating, they didn't touch the ball, they were not going to be counted towards the final total. So effort was a really important part of that. Team effort is what I think they're celebrating right now. Some more of the rules involved having qualified referees oversee the match, independent witnesses that were experienced and able to keep check on all of the rules that were met. We got video evidence. We had to see that they were participating to the best of their ability.
