It's important to note that the Contreras Learning Center officials worried that it's because of the recent ice raids. This year. We have to be stronger for them. That's what it comes down to just to show them that you know, despite these things that are going on, we can still kind of get through it together. That's the football coach at the Contreras Learning Center in the West Lake District of downtown L. A. Describing the situation. It's a lot of frustration. It's a lot of fear. The kids are practicing for the new football season this Monday. World events hit painfully close to home. Many are the sons of immigrants. Most of the kids of the working poor high profile events. This is an overreach of your authority nearby MacArthur Park, where troops and federal agents descended on the. Immigrant neighborhood sowing fear caused by the attacks. It's a lot of anxiety. It's a lot of fear. It's a lot of fear. It's a lot of fear. It's a lot of fear. Parents were afraid of them come in and getting scooped up. The athletic director feels his players. Anxiety to kids are nervous. They're scared. There's all this stuff going on. They just they don't know what's happening, and they never know when people are going to show up. The beginning of the football season is normally a fresh start, but this year is different. Normally this time of year, the number of student athletes that come to the football games is a lot less.
