In the past two months, there have been at least five robberies of cash delivery trucks around northeast Philadelphia. Karen Hua reports.

Authorities in Philadelphia are investigating a string of armored truck robberies, with the FBI now involved in the effort. In one incident, thieves stole between $700,000 and $800,000 from a Brinks truck outside a grocery store, while another robbery resulted in the theft of over $2 million. 

Police have arrested three men in connection with one of the robberies, including a Brinks employee and a suspect who worked at a car rental company that supplied the getaway vehicle. Officials are examining whether the incidents are related or if they are copycat crimes. Most of the stolen cash from a previous robbery has been recovered, with some suspects reportedly spending the money on luxury items.

Now to a string of armored truck robberies in the Philadelphia area, which sound like a scene out of a Hollywood movie. In one theft, the thieves grabbed $2 million. CBS's Karen Wah reports the FBI has joined the investigation. A brazen crime caught on camera, in daylight and with a semi-automatic rifle. The robbery of a Brinks truck driver happened Tuesday outside a grocery store just north of Philadelphia. Police say two men went up to the truck, which is known to deliver cash to businesses. Ordered her to hand over her firearm and then took between 700 and $800,000 in cash from the armored car. Come out through the front door with your hands up. Earlier this month, Philadelphia police arrested three men in connection with a similar robbery, where they stole more than $2 million in cash. Court documents show the vehicle they used for the crime was from Enterprise Rent-A-Car, where one of the suspects worked. And another suspect was a Brinks employee at the time of the crime. The main question, are these incidents related? I think there's certainly a possibility that one job inspired the other. The FBI says it's too soon to tell, but they will continue to investigate. CBS News law enforcement contributor, Rodney Harrison. Can you give us some insight into what investigators might be working on right now to try to solve this further? There's so many levels of technology that are going to help the FBI and the Philadelphia investigators to get down to the bottom of it, to see if these are copycat incidents or if this is a group of individuals that are committing these robberies. Now, officials say they've recovered most of the stolen cash from the June robbery. Police tell us some suspects allegedly spent the money on jewelry, clothes, and other expensive things. Maurice.
