Fox 10's Nicole Garcia joins us live with more Nicole. Students here at Commercial Divers International actually train students to work under this kind of pressure in the water deep in the water. They're learning about what could potentially happen to those who journey to the bottom of the ocean. Zero feet to zero underwater welding students use this hyperbaric chamber to feel what it's like under the pressure of the ocean. Instructors say this chamber is about the same size of the Titan submersible. Whereas you have one atmosphere of pressure around your body right now. You're not going to feel anything. You're not going to feel anything. You're not going to feel that he says a catastrophic implosion means that the Titan submersible may have had a crack or leak, disturbing the pressure, but just a minor fracture in a submersible like that. Can't beat withstand pressure and they'll just cause a compromise and they would just crumple like a like a soda can. Another instructor at this school previously served in the U. S Navy as a diver and worked with the Navy on a mission to rescue a submarine. We were at 12,500 feet. We were at the University rescue. We could only go to 2000 ft. They were at 12,500 ft. The Navy could only rescue to 2000 ft, he says. Recovery efforts will likely be carried out by robotic ocean vehicles because there's very little knowledge and experience and what can survive the pressure of being on the ocean floor that being their demise would be a lot more humane. It's a lot more difficult than it is. It's a lot more difficult than it is to be submerged in the ocean for probably over six days. And experts say finding the remains of those five people that were on board the Titan submersible is like trying to find a needle in a haystack in the dark.
