Yes, Sandra, this will be a mammoth hearing in the local court, lasting up to four and a half months, with as many as 139 witnesses. Alan Jones did not appear in court today and was represented by his solicitor, Brian Wrench. He expressed frustration that the defence hasn't yet been supplied with the full material and hasn't been told if the police investigation has ceased. He told the court, we need to see all the cards. On the last occasion, the number of charges were dropped from 44 to 27 and the former 2GB host pleaded not guilty to 25 counts of indecent assault and two counts of sexual touching. In relation to offences alleged to have occurred between 2003 and 2020, involving nine victims. His solicitor today said there is an iceberg of material he believes will clear Jones and the hearing is expected to run from August to December next year. Alright, thanks Sarah.
