Monday night's rush hour in Delhi, after a car carrying passengers exploded at a red light. Metal mixed with blood and shattered glass near the historic red fort. Suddenly there was a sound of a blast. We came running, but we didn't get too close because we were scared. We saw someone's hand on the ground. They were completely blown up. I saw someone's lungs, and I also saw a car steering wheel completely damaged. I just can't express, can't imagine how their families will deal with this. I can't describe how big the blast was. Police shut down the area around the scene. The cause of the blast is still unknown. All agencies, including Delhi Police, Forensic Science Laboratory, National Security Guard and National Investigation Agency teams arrived here and are taking stock of the situation and investigating this explosion from all angles. But relatives of people injured or missing are frustrated trying to get word about their loved ones. I tried registering a missing complaint at the nearby Chandni Mahal police station. They told me that such a complaint is only possible after 24 hours. We're not trying to lodge a missing complaint because my relative went missing from home. We're trying because of the incident. They're telling us to wait 24 hours. God forbid if something were to happen to my brother-in-law, then who will be responsible? India's Interior Minister visited the injured, as security was also increased in India's financial capital, Mumbai. We are investigating the incident and exploring all the possibilities. We will share the results with the public after a thorough investigation. Whatever the outcome of the investigation, the blast has brought back memories of bomb attacks in the Indian capital in September 2008, where around 20 people lost their lives.
