Iran has rejected the E3's actions, calling them a political attack and bypassing established dispute resolution mechanisms. Russia and China have also criticized the move, submitting a draft resolution to the UN Security Council to delay sanctions for six months. Recently, Iran allowed International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors to return for the first time since recent strikes on its nuclear facilities.

Restored access for U.N. nuclear inspectors, transparency about its stocks of enriched uranium, and engagement by Iran in talks with the United States. Tehran says the E3 move is a political attack. -"Iran categorically rejects and condemns the unlawful notification by France, Germany, and the United Kingdom. This action sidesteps the GCPOA dispute resolution mechanism. This is a flawed political attempt against Iran." Russia and China have accused the E3 of escalating the situation, despite Iranian cooperation. They have submitted a draft resolution to the U.N. Security Council that would push back the sanctions six months. On Wednesday, Tehran had welcomed back International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors for the first time since the U.S. and Israeli strikes on their nuclear facilities in June.
