The DOJ stated that the removal was not related to Trump himself, and that up to 16 photos were taken down from the website as a precaution after requests from alleged victims and their lawyers. The department recently released thousands of Epstein-related documents, which have faced criticism for heavy redactions. Trump has not been accused of any wrongdoing and has denied knowledge of Epstein's crimes.
