Toronto was just two outs away from its first title since 1993, up by a run in the ninth when they get Rojas-shocked Toronto and Canadians by tying things up with a solar homer, sending the teams to extra innings. Neither team scored in the 10th, then top of the 11th, Dodgers catcher Will Smith blasted a solo home run to lead 5-4. L.A. fought off a rally from the Blue Jays in the bottom of the inning to repeat as World Series champions. Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who started game six, delivered a gutsy performance on zero days rest making him the World Series MVP. The cheering heard all the way in Japan. Newspapers rushed special editions of the victory. Across Canada, heartbreak after a crushing defeat. Their team went from worst to first in a single season. So excited. We so love the Blue Jays. And now at tomorrow's parade, the team will be traveling on double-decker buses greeting fans through the streets of downtown L.A.
