Lamine Yamal, still just 18, also stands out among the other nominees, having emerged as a superstar on the wing at Barcelona, where he's seen as the successor to Messi. One day we will see this, that Lamine gets this trophy. But at the end, for me it's like a respect to be there because we are nominated and we will see. Everyone who gets this trophy deserves it. Aitana Bonmati is aiming for a third consecutive Ballon d'Or after her successes in 2023 and 2024, a historic achievement if she achieves it.
