Yeah, that might be getting a gig actually, definitely. I don't think he knows my name to be honest. I've only played against him four or five times, so it could be the first time I meet him, probably. I was actually surprised Usman was picking his side last week, but now he's in the team. He's got to score runs like everyone else. I had perspective, been in the team, out of the team. I've been dropped more than any batsman for Australia ever. I've been dropped seven times. A day after putting Chief Selector George Bailey in his sights, Steve Waugh dropped the hammer again. The last 18 months we could have had a couple of openings put in place. We've had Steve Smith opening batting, Travis Head, Sam Constance, Usman Khawaja. It's been up and down and a bit mixed messages. I think that could have been planned a little bit better. I don't necessarily agree with that. I feel like the selectors at the moment within the current set-up are really clear on their messages and they're willing to make that hard call. Another call will have to be made on Pat Cummins, who's firming for a second test return. Yesterday was probably three-quarter run-up, seven or eight overs, and yeah, it's all feeling really good. So on track, yeah, probably better than I expected maybe. Though expectations may need to be tempered on whether he'll play each test from there. Kind of don't really want to commit to anything this far out, so, you know, pretty keen to play as much as we can. I think realistically, if you have a big game, it might be a bridge too far. England may also have to rotate their pace cartel. Mark Wood bowling again today as a former hero hit the golf course. They won't do five tests, that I'm sure of, but if we can get three out of them, that could be the difference. But we need to get off to a flyer. As for our ageing bowlers, they still have plenty to give before the tap on the shoulder comes. I feel like the age is just a number, if I'm just being honest with you. I feel like I'm still yet to play my best cricket. Yeah, there's no talk of transitioning out players if they're still good enough. We'll know if that's still the case come the end of summer.
