Comanche has been docked in Hobart for 24 hours after achieving a major win in the Sydney-Hobart race, with crowds gathering at Constitution Dock to witness their arrival. While most of the fleet is still making its way in, the reigning overall champions, Celestial V70, lost their lead after slow progress down the Derwent River, and are now observing the race from shore.

The overall winner is expected to be a smaller boat, with double handers performing well in the current conditions. The prestigious Tattersalls Cup will be awarded to the winner, though much public attention remains on the spectacle of the Supermaxi class and the ongoing celebrations.

Absolutely, Jade. The dock here is still pretty full with a large majority of the fleet still to come in. That being said, Comanche will be watching from the pub. They've been here for about 24 hours already after that huge win here in Hobart. Constitution Dock was absolutely packed to the brim to watch them charge down the Derwent to victory. Obviously that was huge for them but no one will be watching this race closer than Celestial V70, the reigning overall champions. That being said, they've relinquished their lead after it took them five hours to come down the Derwent. Very slow conditions. They went straight to Customs House for a drink but they will be watching very closely again likely from inside. It's agony. I mean we have a lot of time on them when we first started coming down the coast and it just trickled away. So ultimately this overall winner will likely go to a smaller boat. The double handers are doing very well. Ultimately the winner is given the Tattersalls Cup which is very prized in this race but of course everyone cares about the glitz and the glamour of the Supermax season.
