President Xi of China has invited many world leaders to celebrate the anniversary of the World War Two victory. Russia's Vladmir Putin and North Korea's Kim Jong Un, who rarely leaves his country, are expected to join the event.

The parade features tens of thousands of troops and the latest military hardware, with prominent guests including Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

This gathering marks the first time Kim Jong-un will appear publicly with both Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin, signaling a challenge to the US-led world order. The events, which also include a regional security summit attended by over 20 world leaders such as Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, are intended to showcase China's alliances, stability, and growing power.

It will be the first time Kim will appear together with Xi and Putin in what is seen as a direct challenge to the US-led world order. Well that message was also conveyed over the weekend at the regional security summit in Tianjin, northern China, where Xi hosted more than 20 world leaders including Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. At this week's events, Xi is not only asserting China as a stable and reliable partner, he's also showing off the country's alliances and its might and power. A message solely intended for the United States.
