Battlefield 6 is out now and we want to experience it in as many frames as possible, so PC hardware supplier SCAN provided us with a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 GPU to upgrade our gaming PC, plus some rigs for the rest of the squad. Our friends at Outside Xbox joined us to complete some chaotic challenges.

IGN and Outside Xbox collaborated to play Battlefield 6, focusing on both hardware upgrades and in-game challenges. Using NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 GPUs provided by Scan, the teams optimized their PCs for high performance and engaged in class-based challenges such as reviving teammates from a helicopter and achieving weapon-based kill streaks.

Throughout the session, each participant attempted to complete their assigned challenge, with varying degrees of success. The event highlighted both the impact of advanced hardware on gameplay and the fun of creative, team-based objectives, concluding with recommendations for further viewing and hardware upgrades.

Challenge Chaos in Battlefield 6 with IGN and Outside Xbox

Battlefield 6 is out now, and I want to experience every explosion, whizzing bullet, and tense firefight in as many frames as possible. To help with that, Scan has provided us with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 GPU to upgrade our gaming PC, plus some rigs for the rest of the squad. To get started, let's crack open this PC and swap out the GPU. That's all done, but that's just the half of it. I'm going to get my buddy Alex from IGN to help me tweak the settings so we can get the most out of this new GPU. Now that we've got the 5070 in, we need to make some changes in the settings of Battlefield to make sure that we're getting all the frames that we can. And it's super simple. We can literally just head over to the advanced settings, turn on DLSS, whack the up to performance, instant frames, and then we can turn on multi-frame generation, whack up to 4, and NVIDIA Reflex is also turned on. So what's NVIDIA Reflex? So that reduces the amount of latency between you clicking something and it happening on the screen. So that's all we need to do? Yeah, yeah. We're ready to jump in. Nice. Let's squad up. We're joined by our friends at Outside Xbox. Hello! Scan want to make things interesting. They provided us with the hardware, and they provided us with some challenges. They're class-based challenges. Okay. Battlefield are challenging enough without extra challenges. Andy is Recon. Yeah. Your challenge is the Fetch challenge. You have to go behind enemy lines and get a dog tag from a takedown. Okay, so I have to stab someone in the back like a hero. Yep, yep. Not a problem. Alex is the Assault class. Yeah. Your challenge is the John Wick challenge. So you have to get three consecutive kills with three different weapons. So like, assault rifle, followed by the pistol, followed by the shotguns. There's no way I'm going to be able to do that. Mike's challenge as the Combat Medic is the Air Ambulance challenge. Oh yeah. So yeah, you're going to have to go up into a helicopter or a plane, jump out, and revive three people before shooting your weapon. You must have a challenge as well. You're probably just dishing it out. I notice you're being quiet about your own challenge. I'm the engineer. I've got a blowtorch to repair vehicles with, but it can also be used to kill people. So I'm going for the Weld This challenge, which is basically I'm just going to have to burn someone and kill them. Doesn't sound like a very effective weapon. It's not. Alex, can you sabotage that helicopter so I can have it and complete my challenge? If you could just fire into the floor of the helicopter. Is that working? Is that working? So it falls out. Yeah, there you go. Perfect. Great job, Alex. You've done your duty, soldier. Helicopter! Helicopter! New attack helicopter available. I'm in it. Mike's in it. Yes. Here we go. They're quite hard to fly. If you imagine Ride of the Valkyries being played through a kazoo, that's the sort of vibe right now. Did you do a praise scan of our skill level before they sent the challenge? Absolutely not. I told everyone. They said, hey, do you want to be in a battlefield thing? I said, as long as you don't mind me being bad at battlefield. Please, please, may I have the fighter jet? There it is. I can see it. No one else get the fighter jet. Oh my God. Oh my God. Get stabbed. Get stabbed. Yes. Yes. Yes. Take that. Challenge complete. Looks like I'm good at battlefield actually. All right, folks. This fighter jet is mine. I'm the top gun theme played on a kazoo. Oh my God. I'm Maverick. I will not be contributing any more to the war. I'm having too much fun in this jet. You guys carry on with your challenge. I'm just going to enjoy how beautiful this all looks. It does look stunning. Let me tell you, from the air, it looks even more beautiful. Oh, you got three of us. I'm requesting a revive as well. I'm here and I'm sort of in cover. Come down as quick as you can. I'm coming, but I'm not allowed to shoot anyone. The challenge specified I'm not allowed to use my gun until I've revived some people. So I'm being sneaky. No, I got shot. Oh, we did actually. Oh, we did actually defeat you. Well, Andy's completed his challenge, but we've got to have another run at this. One out of four is actually bad. Yeah, it's weak. Depends which one you are.
