Authorities have identified Claudio Neves Valente, a former Brown University student, as the suspect in the shooting that killed two students and injured nine others at Brown University. Two days after the campus attack, investigators believe Valente also killed MIT professor Nuno Larrero at his Brookline home.

A former classmate described Valente as sweet and caring but noted he was socially awkward and prone to anger, particularly about his experiences in the United States. Reports indicate Valente expressed frustration with his academic environment, living conditions, and life at Brown University.

They also spoke with a former friend of the suspect who shed new light on his personality. Ella cook will be buried in her home state of Alabama. The 19 year old sophomore was studying economics and french and served as vice president of the college republicans. Fellow student muhammad Aziz or a zakov was also killed. Nine others were injured. Two days later, investigators believe the same suspect killed M. I. T. Professor Nuno Larrero in his Brookline home. Former Brown student Claudio Neves Valente is the man that investigators say is behind both shootings. We're learning more about him thanks to a former classmate. He says Valente was sweet and caring but said he was socially awkward and prone to bursts of anger about life in the United States. He thought he was wasting his time by coming to the U. S. Uh, a lot of the news has been saying, um, that, you know, part of this was that he couldn't graduate and all that he was bored because he knew more than any of us. He hated brown and he hated Providence. Watson says Valente often became frustrated or angry over the courses, the professor's living conditions, even the food at Brown.
