A new study published this week has confirmed a prediction about black holes that Stephen Hawking made more than 50 years ago. Using LIGO, Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory, experts were able to measure the massive collision between two black holes. As Hawking theorized, the collision created a mass larger than the original holes.
