A black bear has visited the same Boulder, Colorado home three times within a week, including two break-ins in a single night. Video footage shows the bear attempting to open a glass door while residents quickly lock it, and officials note the animal is undeterred by human presence.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) has not yet been contacted about the incidents, though Boulder County Sheriff's deputies have responded. CPW warns that bears will continue to return to locations where they find food, posing risks to residents, and urges the public to report such encounters promptly for the safety of both people and wildlife.

A bear that broke into a boulder home twice in one night this week is back again. Marnie Pogaczewski sent us this video of the bear peering through a glass door last night. The bear goes for the door handle and as you can see, the women rush to lock it. Now I spoke with CPW today about this video. I see some dangerous bear behavior in that video. That bear clearly knows that there are people in that home and does not care. What kind of action does CPW usually take when a bear becomes this comfortable around humans and is repeatedly trying to break into homes? We have to be able to really assess this behavior for ourselves and see if there's some sort of deterrent or something that we can do. But in general, this is why we tell people you need to call us early and often. So the Boulder County Sheriff's deputies, they've responded to this home. But CPW says they have not been called yet. And this video is alarming. They say once a bear knows of food and a food source, they'll continue to return. And that could be dangerous for people. It is a good reminder. If this happens to you, please call early for your sake and for the bear's sake. And for the neighbors and everybody. I mean, look at what the bear did to that kitchen this week. I mean, just went through everything. It's that time of year. It is. And I got to say one thing, Jessica. And ladies, lock the door. Girlfriend, lock the door. If a bear knows how to open it, I'm thinking. He went right for that handle. He was ready. So, oh boy.
