During his speech, Biden criticized Trump, particularly in relation to black unemployment and the growth of black small businesses. He emphasized that under their administration, black unemployment reached historic lows. Biden also responded to Trump's comments from a previous debate that many interpreted as disparaging towards black employment, stating that he fully understands the importance and significance of black jobs.

Despite some suggestions within his party for Biden to withdraw from the race due to concerns about his age and mental stamina, black officials and voters have largely stood by him. Recent polls indicate, however, that some black voters' support for Biden may be waning, which could be pivotal for his bid for re-election.

Let me say this again, because Trump is lying like hell about it. Black unemployment hit a record low under Biden-Harris administration. Biden mocked Trump's reference during the debate last month to black jobs, which many people thought he implied were unskilled. Folks, I know what a black job is. It's the vice president of the United States. In the aftermath of that debate, some Democrats urged Biden to drop out of the race over concerns about his age and mental stamina. But black officials and voters have largely stood by him. He's a proven track record of being supportive of initiatives for what blacks are facing today. And so we are looking toward him to do that again, to continue to do that. But some recent polls suggest some black voters are drifting away from Biden.
