Beijing is making extensive preparations for a major military parade, with tens of thousands of seats arranged and heightened police presence across the city. The parade will feature 10,000 soldiers in formation, tanks, and the latest military equipment, and is expected to be attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

The event has resulted in significant disruptions, including traffic jams, strict security checks, and the closure of parts of downtown Beijing. Residents and workers, including delivery drivers, are preparing to halt their activities for the parade, which is being promoted as one of the largest in the country's history.

With Russia and North Korea, our alliance will show other countries that China will not be intimidated. The city is already feeling the weight of the moment. Huge traffic jams and tight security checks. Parts of downtown Beijing are at a standstill. Even delivery drivers, normally omnipresent, are preparing to disappear. On the day of the parade, we'll all have to stop. So you won't keep working? It's not a question of money. It's such a big event that I'd like to be able to follow it too. The entire centre of Beijing is gearing up to shut down for one of the biggest military parades the country has ever seen.
