It seemed fitting to stop by and say a prayer for these people who were seeking a better life. They did nothing wrong and they died. The Italian Coast Guard and European Border Guards have expanded the scope of their search, which will continue until Sunday morning. The Mediterranean Sea remains a grave for hundreds of migrants from Africa. The UN High Commissioner for Refugees estimates that in 2025 over 700 people died in the Mediterranean while attempting to reach the European continent.
