Despite having only a 0.3% chance of winning at the 15th tee, Kim finished with an eagle-birdie-eagle sequence to secure the victory. This marks her first major win after previously recording just two top-20 finishes in 13 major appearances. Kim's triumph is being celebrated by her coach, supporters, and her home club in Sydney, which is planning to honor her achievement. She is set to continue her season at the upcoming Scottish and British Opens.

The 24-year-old from Greenacre playing 18 at 5-under at the Evian Championship in France, clawing back with an incredible eagle-birdie-eagle finish to win her first major title. And the dream comes true in Evian for Grace Kim. I've had a lot of doubts early this year. I was kind of losing motivation. So, to be sitting here next to this trophy is definitely surreal. Helping unlock her potential, Coach Kahn, who simply couldn't believe his eyes. Having three eagles around is very unique, that's for sure. It takes a lot of people to lift a champion up to the top like that, and they've all contributed to her success. To have those friends and mates that are very happy for you is also something else as well. After only recording two top-20 finishes in her 13 major appearances, Grace is now taking home the $1.8 million Aussie dollar prize. I hope this is inspiration to her, gives her a little bit more confidence within herself and self-belief, and hopefully it's the first of many. Well, the realisation of what Grace has just achieved sets in. Back in Sydney, her home club of 12 years is already making plans to etch her name into its history books. Certainly, this is the biggest victory by a member by far. Whether that's a plaque, or whether that's a display of maybe some of the golf clubs that she used, or maybe even a statue.
