Family and friends organized a 'Honk and Wave' awareness event, culminating a week of action aimed at keeping his case in the public eye and urging the community to help locate him.

The family has partnered with organizations such as the Gabby Petito Foundation and Light the Way to spread awareness. Participants wore brown, Jonathan's favorite color, and held signs with his photo. Authorities continue to encourage anyone with information about Jonathan's whereabouts to contact law enforcement.

The family says today's Honk and Wave awareness event is really the culmination of a week of action to find Jonathan. With each passing car, a honk, a wave, a plea. We really need help finding Jonathan and we can't do so much. As advocates for Jonathan, we're only a small family. It's been four months since Jonathan Huang disappeared. The 21-year-old has a developmental disability and has been missing since March, which is why his family partnered with the Gabby Petito Foundation and Light the Way to get the word out and find the Arlington man. Jonathan is incapable of helping himself. He's very naive. He needs help. This week, they held a Find Jonathan Week of Action, encouraging the public to reach out to the Governor's Office, Washington Senators, and the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office. Then, they gathered here on the corner of Broadway and Hewitt and Everett to honk and wave for Jonathan. Holding signs with his picture and wearing the color brown, Jonathan's favorite color, loved ones, and the community rallied. Somebody somewhere will see Jonathan and that's what we're after. Tim Finneran is next door neighbors with Jonathan's family. He held his poster of Jonathan to spread awareness and bring Jonathan home. It seems like trying to find a needle in the haystack at the moment, but somebody knows something. We need to find him and get him back on his medications and give him the medical support he needs to function, to have a good life. For Jonathan's parents, Ann and Tao, they're reminded of their son's disappearance every day. We still can't believe he's gone. Every morning, we go to his room and, you know, we open his door hoping he's in his room. And then, every night. Again, try to go to his room, open the door, and say a little prayer, close our eyes, and hoping that when we open our eyes that, you know, he's there in his bed.
