Argentina now has low stocks of cattle, mostly because of 20 years of interventionist policies that affected the producers with high taxes, but also regulated prices. But at this barbecue in Buenos Aires, there are fears more exports will lead to higher prices. The asado, which is what you can see right here, is not just a meal, it's an identity, a tradition. And that's why the price of beef is a very political issue, an extremely sensitive one. And even though the current administration has managed to control inflation, the price of beef has continued to go up. In the past few months, the price of some cuts has gone up as much as 20%, in a country that is still struggling to adapt to Mille's harsh austerity plan. I think exporting more is always good, but they have to take care of the internal market too. The price of beef has gone up a lot, but I try to be careful with the prices, because a lot of families come to eat here, and I cannot keep increasing the prices. The trade agreement between the US and Argentina is part of a support package from the Trump administration to Mille, which includes a $20 billion bailout. Some observers say its main objective is to reduce Chinese influence. Probably no other country in the world, with the exception of Israel, has this status of American support. That is positive. Of course that is positive. We are very close to a new default. Argentina is desperate to bolster exports to increase its foreign reserves.
