I feel the weight of responsibility for an atrocity that happened whilst I'm Prime Minister and I'm sorry for what the Jewish community and our nation as a whole has experienced. Earlier in the day, they were looking to move the conversation on. The Albanese Government will now move towards a gas reservation policy for Australia. Fueling further criticism of the way it's handling the horrors of Bondi. This government is tone deaf, it's been tone deaf for two and a half years. We're wondering why it couldn't have waited a week or two. Next week's Christmas mate. The gas announcement had already been put off because of the Bondi atrocities. We've taken the difficult decision now to proceed to announce this policy because we need to give the industry certainty. All the bandwidth the Australian public has at the moment is trying to show support for the Jewish community and the people of Bondi. Many of whom have called for a Commonwealth Royal Commission. The opposition has drafted terms for one. He must put aside his pride and take action. We want urgency and unity, not division and delay. The Prime Minister adamant his review into law enforcement and intelligence will lead to swifter outcomes. Adding to the pressure on the Albanese Government is the optics of the NSW Parliament rushing back today to scramble change.
